Shortly after the hugely successful Agfa Box 44 ("Preisbox") Agfa introduced the Box 34. There were only minor changes in the design and like its predecessor it is a very simple box camera with a single aperture and a single shutter speed as well as a Bulb setting. The only obvious improvements are the larger and brighter viewfinders. The camera is made out of cardboard and only the front and back are made out of thin metal. Like the other Agfa Box cameras it takes 120 film and a red window in the back panel is used to check the advance of the film.
It was also named Agfa Iso-Box and Isochrome-Box.[1]
