A.F.R. was a Paris-based lens manufacturer or distributor. At present very little is known about them. The lenses carry the motif of the rising sun, with the company name below and the motto SINE SOLE NIHIL ('Nothing without Sun') in a arc above.
Known is the following AFR lens which exists in a number of focal lengths:
