3M (from Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing company) is an American enterprise founded in 1902. 3M have been a major manufacturer of film, which is often rebranded for other companies, and various materials involved in film making and photo processing and printing. Among many other products were cameras, microfilm cameras as well as some consumer photocameras under its own name and others such as the 3M-owned Italian Ferrania and American Revere companies.
