Pentax *ist D
The Pentax *ist D is the first production digital camera from Pentax in the SLR configuration. Released in 2003 it was a worthy successor to a long line of Pentax film cameras. It supported the traditional K mount following the 'crippled protocol' implying that the use of K-mount lenses made prior to the SMC-A series introduced in about 1982 to support the Pentax Program-A and Super Program models were usable only with some difficulty.
