Mori Kōjō (森工場, meaning Mori Plant) was a Japanese company based in Tokyo, Katsushika in 1943.[1] It was listed in the "Kokusan shashinki no genjōchōsa" ("Inquiry into Japanese cameras") as the maker of the Zessan sold by Riken.

Some sources attribute the Semi Konter and Rollekonter to a Mori Seisakusho (森製作所), but no original document has yet been found to confirm this.[2] There is also a Konter Six, which was perhaps made by the same company as well.

It is said that Mori Seisakusho made three prototypes of a Morrisflex 6×6 TLR, certainly after the war.[3]

Notes

  1. Its address in 1943 was Tōkyō-to Katsushika-ku Kamihirai-chō 550 (東京都葛飾区上平井町550). Source: "Kokusan shashinki no genjōchōsa" ("Inquiry into Japanese cameras"), listing the Japanese camera production as of April 1943.
  2. Kokusan kamera no rekishi, p.336, attributes the Semi Konter to "Mori Seisakusho". Tanaka, p.19 of Kurashikku Kamera Senka no.14, says that the Rollekonter was made by "Mori Seisakusho". Sugiyama, item 2021–3, attributes the Rollekonter to "Seibi-do Co. (Mori Manufacturing)".
