The Gallus Bakélite was a 6x9 folding camera made by the French maker Gallus at the end of the 1930s. As its name implied, the body was made of bakelite, usually dark brown with black bellows. It had a brilliant finder. It was originally developed by the German company Ebner in 1934, but Ebner went down in 1935. Later the same body will be produced by Pontiac (see Pontiac Bakélite). The Gallus models are unmarked or marked Gallus France, whereas the Pontiac models are marked Pontiac. The variants (according to McKeown) were:

  • f/11 Achromat lens (marked Objectif Achromatique) with Pose & Instant shutter
  • 105/6.3 Boyer Topaz with P & I shutter
  • 105/4.5 Boyer Topaz with B-25-50-100 shutter
