The Leotax TV 2, also known as Leotax Merite, is a 35mm rangefinder camera produced by Shōwa Kōgaku in the years 1958/59, looking like constructed almost like Leica's rangefinder conception. It has a focal-plane shutter with speed choice B as well as 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250 and 1/500 seconds by means of top dial and slow-speed choice by means of the front-side speed dial (T as well as 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15 seconds ), and a non-superimposed rangefinder. Its fine making quality may be reason for the word Merite (meaning merit).

Some sites show a similar Leotax TV - maybe a predecessor?
