Long time reader of the Camera Wiki... now that it's back on track as a non-commercial wiki I hope to help out a little. That said my wiki editing experience is limited. I've edited the odd page on wikipedia and i wrote a few pages for Uncyclopedia back when it used to be funny.
About Me
Jewellery Designer now working for a small family business, previously worked as a theatre designer, then web designer and finally in PR. Back in 2002 I created a non-commercial portfolio site for theatre designers that ran for ten years and had modest success averaging around 25,000 visitors a month. Sadly in 2010 we had to close the free portfolios/galleries (mainly because I could no longer support the site with my time)
Cameras & Photography
I fell out of love with photography in 2002 when I bought my first digital camera. From 2003 to 2010 I didn't even own a camera preferring instead to use my phone camera! Digital just felt thoughtless, souless and clinical.
In late 2010 I bought a Diana Mini (Hey you stop cringing!) Now I own :
- Bronica SQA
- Rolleicord IV
- Canon FTb
- Chinon CE5 (now electrically dead!)
- FED2
- Canon EOS 350
- Ilford Sporti
- Kodak Autographic
- Sprocket Rocket
- Holga 135BC.
The Sporti was my Dad's first camera and the Kodak Autographic has been in the family for around 70 years.
My favourites have to be the Rollei, Canon FTb and the Bronica. The Chinon would score higher if it didn't keep cutting out!
To economise I now develop my B&W at home and I still don't own a Digital camera - and feel all the happier for it!
