I have revised a couple of points from an earlier version of this article: First, the date of 1940 for the camera was unsourced, and predates the introduction of the Vokar B; so we still need to learn more about Max Wirgin's NYC company before asserting what they sold when. Second, I do not think it is proven that the "flat top" Wirgin models have a connection to Vokar—they are missing the shield mold mark, and by the late 1940s Vokar was fully preoccupied with the rangefinder Vokar I. It may be possible that the "Deco" Wirgin folders preceded the Vokar-derived ones, but we would need to find a source confirming that.--Vox 13:28, 22 August 2011 (PDT)

Nope, the flat-tops were later. I've since relocated my source, showing the flat-top models 45 and 51 listed in the Pop Photo camera directory for 1952. That date is improbably late for there to be any Vokar involvement.--Vox 15:05, 22 August 2011 (PDT)
And here is the introduction of the first Wirgin based on the Vokar B body, in 1947.--Vox 22:59, 22 August 2011 (PDT)
