Use of capital letters

I recently created this page and instinctively written the name of the society in capital letters.

SIAP is an acronym and I'd alternatively pronounce "Siap" or "S I A P".

On the one hand I find it weird to write AGFA and ICA, and I would rather use Agfa and Ica. Son I should write Siap here, Sem for SEM, Som for SOM (Berthiot), Sagem for SAGEM, etc.

But on the other hand we have MFAP or OPL that we cannot reasonably pronounce and write "Mfap" or "Opl".

Any opinion on that (not very important) point?

(Ah, but can one pronounce Fcuk or Fnac?) I think either "SIAP" or "Siap" would be fine. ("S.I.A.P." seems fussy, and "S I A P" is a bit ugly even within a line and either requires fiddly hard-space markup or risks greater ugliness at the end of a line.) If both are fine, then as the creator of the article you can choose whichever you wish. If you really don't know, well, you've already created it as "SIAP" so why bother to change it? -- Hoary 09:11, 3 September 2006 (EDT)
"Fnac", definitely yes! nobody says F.N.A.C.
I was about to bother the maintainers of ICA by pointing out that the use of capital letters was illogical because we have Agfa, but then I realized that my own page titles were illogical too. Well, I think I will keep my mouth (or keyboard) shut for this one! --Rebollo fr 10:35, 3 September 2006 (EDT)
