"Pinhole cameras with CCDs"

We're told:

Pinhole cameras with CCDs are sometimes used for surveillance work because of their small size.

This was swiped directly from Wikipedia. It's still there, where it still lacks any source.

Is it true? Googling for "digital pinhole" and the like brings hits that have the phrase within them but that are vague, or even evasive, about what's meant. I see no compelling reason to assume that this means "minuscule hole"; I rather suspect that it means "tiny wide-angle lens". Zuleika 18:55, 7 April 2011 (PDT)

Please, don't waste any attention on this article as it stands. Sometime within the week I intend to extend and re-write it, and probably only a few fragments of this will be incorporated. --Vox 20:24, 7 April 2011 (PDT)

Diffraction

The role of diffraction is described accurately in our article Homemade pinhole. If the pinhole is large, the blur increases, but the reason is not diffraction. Therefore I find this edit problematic, and propose to revise it. --Vox 14:56, 31 January 2012 (PST)

Changed now. The discussion of hole size is now under Image effects, relating it to the need for long exposure times. --Vox 04:15, 1 February 2012 (PST)
