Showa10

Change summary by Hoary: "When I get around to using "Showa10", I wonder why I bother with anything else"

That's almost annoying, the quality and reliability of the info provided by the ads reproduced in this book blasts any other source of information. For ex. I'm working on the Semi Minolta page, and I have a couple of other sources, but nearly all of them are false. The fact that even Japanese sources published after 'Showa10' contain inaccuracies tells much about the carelessness of some authors. --Rebollo fr 10:38, 9 August 2006 (EDT)

Well, [cough], adverts themselves can be wrong at times. (I mean, if we all believed all the ads, we'd believe that smoking was sexy.) But I get your point.
Still, you have to remember that "Showa10" was an expensive book when new and is supposed to be an even more expensive rarity now that it's out of print. (Incidentally, the place where I picked up "my" second copy -- now toward the other end of Eurasia, I believe -- has yet another copy. I didn't look at the price, but if it too is well under half what I paid for my first copy, I too shall start to get annoyed.) -- Hoary 10:50, 9 August 2006 (EDT)
Grab it and throw the worst one into the ePond as "the best documentation ever about Japanese cameras", or keep it in the fridge for a future meriting CP contributor. --Rebollo fr 12:10, 9 August 2006 (EDT)
