The Mercury cameras are really quite interesting, yet this page is hardly more than a stub. I would like to add a lot of text to this page, specifically the text found in my descriptions of the Mercury I & II, here and here. Would this be okay with everyone? Perhaps this could become a featured article?
- Yes, please feel free to do so. I usually resist to use the Flickr text, but the authors themselves should not hesitate to use their texts in camerapedia too, perhaps nicely contextualized into already existing text.U. Kulick 13:27, 2 August 2010 (EDT)
Article rewritten. Camera dimensions are estimates, based on previously stated dimensions of the Mercury II. Cynthia Repinski states in her book that the Mercury II is a half-inch longer and taller than the Mercury I. However, my personal observations put it closer to a quarter-inch both ways. I will measure both cameras and update the dimensions if necessary.
As always, feel free to edit the page to improve formatting, etc. I'm not good at it!

Made in Belgium by Gevaert?
Really? This is a surprise if it's true, and I think it needs a cited source if we're going to say it: to begin with, the Mercury I in our picture has 'Made in USA' engraved in two places that you can see in the picture; and to follow, Gevaert didn't even make that many of their own cameras. --Dustin McAmera (talk) 16:06, 25 August 2013 (PDT)
