The Sekonic L-158 Auto-Lumi is a reflected type exposure meter. It uses a selenium cell for it's measuring element. A previous L-86 model is also known as Auto-Lumi.

The usage is straight forward. Rotate the inner ring to set the ASA or DIN speed. Point the meter to the subject to be measured. Rotate the outer dial to move the green indicator overlaying on top of the red needle. Read the corresponding shutter and aperture combinations on the calculator dial or EV window for the correct exposure. Set the camera to the correct settings.

A good feature about this meter is the scales for aperture and shutter speed have extra marks for cameras with non standard settings.
