The Präzisions-Peco is a folding bed plate camera produced by Plaubel from 1913 onwards. It allowed exchange of the shutter/lens combination. The folding bed bears the inscription "Plaubel Präzision". Thus the German camera maker in Frankfurt/Main tried to offer the same legendary level of quality of its innovative Makina for more conservative customers who prefered folding bed cameras.

For the normal lens it allows fast distance setting by scale, the other lenses may necessarily need ground glass focusing. Then ground glass can also be used as viewfinder if the camera is mounted on tripod. Waist-level brilliant finder or the alternate big sports finder make the camera also usable as hand camera for snapshots.
