The PC-555 is a 35mm auto exposure, auto focus point and shoot compact camera from Pentax. It is part of the Pentax PC series of cameras. A date version is also available.

It uses a 4 element 35mm, f/2.8 lens. Focusing is automatic using a infrared type system. The minimum focus distance is 0.7m. The shutter operates from 1/30 to 1/500 of a second. The auto exposure meter uses a SPD type cell and has a range of 8 to 17 EV (ISO 100). There is a built-in pop-up flash that has a GN of 11 with a recharge time of 6 seconds. To compose a photo the viewfinder has a 85% view along with parallax correction indicator, focusing spot and three focus distance indicators. The distance indicator shows single person, coupe and mountain. The film transport is motorized and automatically advances the film. The film counter is upward counting and automatically resets. A film indicator along with a film transport indicator are on the back. It is compatible with DX-coded films from 50 to 1600 ISO. Non coded film are set at 100 ISO. A electronic self-timer feature is available with a delay of 10 seconds. Power comes from two AA batteries.
