The Pacific is a Japanese leaf shutter, observed at least once on an unknown plate folding camera.[1] The shutter is everset and its overall construction looks quite cheap. The shutter plate is marked Pacific at the bottom and QUARTER REVOLVING SHUTTER and FRESH CAMERA WORKS CO. in small characters at the top. There is a round logo on the right, and the aperture scale at the bottom is engraved in tiny characters. The name "Fresh Camera Works Co." is probably not the name of any actual Japanese company (see Camera Works), and the origin of this shutter is currently unidentified.
