The Meisupii 1a is a simple camera for 24x36 mm pictures on Bolta unperforated 35 mm roll film, made by the Yamanishi Tōgōdō plant in the 1950s.

The camera is similar to the half-frame 35-mm Meisupii HALF; it has a fixed-focus 50 mm f/8 'New M.K.' lens, with aperture stops at f/8 and f/11. It has an 'I' and 'B' shutter; in the example here, the shutter is named 'Tougodo Meisupii'; an example seen in a Japanese online auction, the shutter is identified as a 'Sangosha Meisupii-35'. There is a flash contact and a cold shoe on the top plate. The camera has a hinged back, in which is a red window with a sliding cover. In the film chamber, the film guides hold the film in a curved path, to allow for the curved field of the simple lens.
