A brief tables help instead of a bulky one is preferable. A "more about the details and nice table design" can be offered additionally. U. Kulick 03:21, 24 April 2011 (PDT)

Some context, for those who may be baffled:
  • U. kulick adds material to a page I am preparing, resulting in this
  • I learn from it that at one point I confused "em" and "en"; but, after some thought, delete it
  • By "the bulky one", perhaps this is meant
Other, debatable matters aside, this still mistakenly gives "center" as a value for the "valign" attribute. But as any good (X)HTML guide will show, it isn't; and as MediaWiki doesn't fix this, the resulting page fails to validate. Zuleika 05:32, 24 April 2011 (PDT)
Thank You for the hint with the XHTML. I changed and checked the code so that XHTML-incompatibilities are left only in the surrounding page frame given by MediaWiki. That means MediaWiki can't deliver strict XHTML. But the core code of the page is strict XHTML now. Mediawiki adds the missing "s to attribute values! Which sense does it make? What's bulky? The jump from simple entry level sample to big table samples, and to as many of them to fill a whole tutorial page, but not optimal for a basic wiki help page. "wiki" means fast, thus a wiki help page should transport the important information fast. My approach is a smaller jump from the entry level sample to an overviewable extended sample. We are working on a wiki so we are working together. So You might find some change made by experienced people in Your work, and the art is to understand what that should mean ;-) U.
