Charles C. C. Harrison was a renowned daguerreotype photographer. In 1846 he opened a photographic studio in New York. He also started making camera lenses. Together with Joseph Schnitzer he developed his masterpiece, the Globe wide-angle lens. In 1863 he had already made 8817 lenses, among them 400 Globe lenses. For a while his company belonged to Anthony & Scovill. Mr Harrison died in 1864.
