The FZ-2000 Zoom is a compact 35mm zoom compact from Fuji. It is also available as the Discovery 2000 Zoom. Date versions are available as FZ-2000 Zoom Date, Discovery 2000 Zoom Date and in Japan as the Zoom Cardia 2000 Date.

It uses a 40 to 105mm zoom lens made of 9 elements in 9 groups. It has a focus range of 1.3m to infinity. If closer focus is desired the macro mode reduces the focus range to 0.8 to 1.3m. The lens is protected by a built-in lens cover. The shutter speed is at 1/4 to 1/250 of a sec.

There is a built-in flash with flash modes of auto, fill, slow and off. Exposure comp can be adjusted plus or minus 1.5EV. The finder has a 0.42-1.0x magnification and a 83% field of view. There are parallax correction marks, AF and flash ready lamps.

Film is automatically loaded, advanced and rewound. Mid-roll rewind can be done by pressing a very small button at the base of the camera. It is compatible with DX coded films from 50 to 1600 ISO. It can be powered by CR123A batteries.
