Canon PowerShot A480

The PowerShot A480 is a compact digital camera which was introduced by Canon in February 2009, with a 10 megapixel CCD sensor giving images of up to 3648x2736 pixels. It is fitted with a 6.6-21.6mm f/3-5.8 (3.4x) zoom lens, 35mm equivalent 37-122mm, incorporating Canon's AiAF autofocus system. The display is a 115,000 dot, 2.5-inch type TFT color LCD. It was available with silver, black, blue and red. This camera replaced the Canon PowerShot A470.

Storage is via Secure Digital, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MMCplus or HC MMCplus flash memory cards. Power comes from two AA batteries. It is rather compact in size compared to the previous model. It measures 92.1 x 62.0 x 31.1 mm and weights approx. 140g. This model was replaced by the Canon PowerShot A490 introduced in January of 2010.
