Canon introduced the 10-megapixel EOS 1D Mark III in 2007 as its pro-level DLSR for shooting action.

Updates from the previous model include the imaging sensor which is now 10 megapixels. The ISO has increased to 6400 from 3200. The evaluative metering system has been expanded with a 63 zones instead of 21. LCD screen remains at the same resolution but is now larger in size at 3 inches. Live view mode is now available. It is replaced by the EOS-1D Mark IV.
