The Digital IXUS i5 is a ultra compact digital camera released in November 2004 by Canon. In North America it is known as the PowerShot SD20 Digital ELPH, and in Japan as Digital IXY L2. It is the update to the previous Digital IXUS i.

As the model name implies, it now features a 5 megapixel 1/2.5" CCD sensor instead of the 4 megapixel of the previous. This produces a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944. The other specifications are just about identical. The lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 39mm with a aperture range of f/2.8. The closest focus distance is 10cm in normal mode and 3cm in macro mode. The shutter speed is from 15 to 1/1500. The camera back features a 78,000 pixel 1.5" LCD screen. Pictures are stored in JPEG format and video uses the MJPEG codec. Data is stored in Secure Digital card. Connectivity options include USB for computer transfers. It uses a rechargeable NB-3L lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
