Bauer

Originally a Stuttgart manufacturer of film projectors, Eugen Bauer GmbH was absorbed into the Robert Bosch group in the 1930s. The brand gained its broadest recognition globally in the 1960s for a highly-respected series of Super-8 movie cameras. However the Bauer brand also appears on slide projectors, video cameras, and electronic flash units (some also bearing the trademark Ultrablitz ). In addition, a few rebadged still-camera models briefly appeared. This was not enough to stave off closure of the unit by 1992.
