The Ansco Autoset CdS is a 1964 viewfinder camera[1] manufactured by Minolta and marketed by Ansco. (In the mid-1960s, Ansco transitioned to using the brand GAF, after their corporate parent, General Aniline & Film.)

As the name implies, the autoexposure system uses a CdS meter cell; but this is located in the top housing rather than within the lens filter ring (as with the contemporary Minolta Hi-Matic 7). Unlike the earlier Autoset model, the CdS does not seem to have a direct Minolta equivalent.

Notes

  1. It is described as a rangefinder in McKeown's 12th edition, page 55; but the owner of the example shown here confirms it is scale focus only.
