The ACTUS (or ACTUS Mini) is a system made by Cambo for use with mirrorless digital cameras such as the Fuji X series or Sony alpha-7, or with some DSLR bodies, and even (in a version sold as the ACTUS DB) with some MF digital backs. It might be seen as a small monorail camera offering some camera movements and using the digital camera as a back, or as a particularly well-specified bellows accessory for the camera. The standard ACTUS unit comprises a monorail base with front and rear standards, the rear incorporating the bayonet for the appropriate camera body, and a bellows (a wide one with just three, stitched, pleats). A lens is attached using an accessory lens-plate; these are available drilled plain for Copal #0 and #1, M39 thread, Leica R bayonet, Canon EOS, Nikon F, Hasselblad C, Pentax 645 and Mamiya 645 (manual focus) or RB lenses. Some of these fittings can only be used with the mirrorless cameras.

The movements offered by the unit are:

  • Geared front tilt (10° forward, 9° back), and swing limited only by the bellows.
  • Geared rear rise (12 mm) and fall (15 mm).
  • Sliding rear shift (20 mm in each direction), with a lock.

Interchangeable longer and shorter bellows are available as accessories, as are longer and shorter rails.
