DF probably means "Dual Focus", and it is basically an autofocus version of the Yashica DF-10, with the same limited shutter speed range and slow tele lens. A switch extends the lens from its retracted 35 mm position while inserting two extra elements to achieve a greater focal length. An LCD on the top indicates mode of operation and number of frames. Its price upon release was 29 800 yen.
It was followed by the Yashica Twintec AF.
