There are three models of Voigtlander Perkeo; they are Perkeo I, Perkeo II and Perkeo IIIE, all use 120 film in 6X6 format. The Perkeo IIIE is top of the range and has an uncoupled rangefinder. From the picture above, the one laid on left side is the post-war Perkeo I, on the right side is a 1951 Perkeo II. As you can see from the picture, they are very compact and small for a 6X6 camera; and you can easily put one into your pocket.

Folding cameras at that time usually came out the factory fitted with different type of lens and shutter to range as different models. Top model would be fitted with a high class lens and a more advanced shutter, and of course with a high price tag. My Perkeo I is a basic model among the Perkeo series. It has a Pronto shutter with speeds of B, 25, 50, 100 and 200. The lens is a 75mm f/4.5 Vaskar three-element lens without coating, although it is not an expensive optic but the results proved it a good performer. My Perkeo II should be a top model because it is fitted with a single-coated 80mm f/3.5 four-element Color-Skopar lens and a flash-synchronized Compur Rapid shutter with speeds of B, 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 100, 250 and 500.
