The Vito III was first produced by Voigtländer in 1950 and is more similar in design to 35mm Prominent then to eairler Vito models (Vito , Vito II ) The Vito III features a Prominent styled top plate rangefinder coupling, the lens and shutter are mounted on a Vito style folding bellows. The Vito III's lens is a Ultron f/2 50mm with a synchronized Compur-Rapid shutter with 1-1/500 B and X-synchronized. Later models featured a Synchro-Compur shutter 1-1/500 B which was XM synchronized.
