Umemoto

Umemoto Seisakusho (梅本製作所, means Umemoto Works) is a Japanese company, founded in 1935 by Umemoto Kinzaburô (梅本金三郎), after the retailer Kiko-Do (暿光堂, Kikô-dô) asked him to setup a camera plant.

It first made spring cameras, among them the Makinette 6 (マキネット6) in 1936. Then it made the Super Flex Baby 4x4 SLR from 1938. All these cameras were distributed by Kiko-Do. It is not known if the company produced more cameras after the war.

The company still exists, today it makes photography related parts, like tripod heads for Kenko.
