UV lenses were originally made for the Uni. The Unirex was sold with a bespoke silver finished 50mm f/2 lens. The IC-1 Auto similarly came with a bespoke Hi Topcor 50mm lens, where the first versions got an f/2, and later versions got an f/1.8.

The UV mount lenses from Tōkyō Kōgaku were produced from the 1960's specifically for the Topcon 100 Auto/Uni, and further used by the Unirex and the 1970s IC-1 Auto.

These unique lens designs do not have an aperture setting ring, as this is found on the camera body.

UV stands for Ultra Violet, as the lenses had a UV coating, and did not need a separate UV filter.

Later variants of standard lenses where marked Hi Topcor.
