The Focus was an American company, based in New York in the mid-1950s. It distributed the Mirroscope reflex housing, made by the Japanese company Orion (predecessor of Miranda), and various accessories. Together, these were advertised as a "Single Lens Reflex system for the Leica".[1] Though the company used various brand names, such as "The Focus reflex housing" (FRH-1) or "Variflex", it seems that the products it distributed are indistinguishable from the ordinary Mirroscope sold by Interstate Photo Supply Corp.
