The Auto EE is a 35mm compact rangefinder camera from Japanese manufacturer Taron. It was also sold as the Hanimex 35 Auto-EE CDS, Cavalier EE Auto 35 and Amica Eyelux.

Technical Data

  • Model: TARON AUTO EE
  • Manufacturer: Nippon Kōsokki Seisakusho. About 1960 it became TARON LTD
  • Year of construction: from 1963 to 1965
  • Type: rangefinder camera for 35mm film
  • Lens: TARONAR 45mm f1.8 - f16 (Six elements). The lens it is not interchangeable
  • Exposure mode: In Auto mode the CdS meter controls the aperture automatically; there was also manual override
  • Film Sensibility: range from 25 ASA up to 400 ASA
  • Shutter: Citzen MVE shutter, speeds are B, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 sec.
  • Flash Flash synchronization: M type all speed; X type about 1/30.
  • Film advance: manual by the level
  • Battery type: PX625 (1.35V)
  • Dimension: 135 x 92 x 75 mm .
  • Weight: 800 gram
