Talk:SLR

I believe the definition of Reflex is incorrect ... "Refers to the mirror and its movement that makes the use of a single lens possible". I always thought Reflex had the meaning reflected, as in a TLR. The linked Camera-Wiki Reflex page offers the "reflected" definition. I want to change this entry, but thought I'd seek a second opinion first, as I am aware that a lot of people think Reflex refers to the movement of a mirror in an SLR. I agree. 'Reflex' just refers to the use of a mirror to direct the image light to a screen. After all, the Pellix is an SLR, notable because its mirror doesn't move. --Dustin McAmera (talk) 17:33, 26 September 2017 (CDT)

Noise

I see one of the cons of SLRs mentioned as being "This extra noise can be a problem if you are in a quiet location or you are trying to be discreet." These days, everybody and their brother is talking everywhere on their cell-phones and no place is quiet, so what does this slight clicking sound matter anymore? I mean, people are so obnoxious talking loudly on their phones, so, evidently, nobody cares about noise any more. Eh? HaarFager (talk) 10:55, 24 May 2018 (CDT)
