In the article for the XD-series (XD5, XD7) is written, that the cameras have a shutter by Copal. In the web I found both sources for a Copal and Seiko shutter (Seiko MFC). Does anybody know a reliable source?

I have (as pdf) the "Minolta XD-11 Repair Guide".
The XD-11 is the same as the XD-7, only different name.
In this manual, on page 2, the following text :
Shutter : Seiko MFC vertically traveling metal focal-plane shutter.

Hope this answers your question.

First Generation

Did they make any first generation XD11s with an all-black body? I've seen plenty of second generation all-black-bodied XD11s, with the outboard-pointing tab covered in black plastic, but never any first generation all-black-bodied ones with just the chrome tab.
