Great tables

The tables are great! I am just wondering if "NKSZ" is a typo for "NKS". Also, is there a particular reason to put the ICS model at the left of the IBS? At last, is it sure that the Rectus shutter was made by Fuji? --Rebollo fr 10:12, 30 May 2006 (EDT)

"NKSZ" may indeed be a typo; but if it is, it's not my typo. Koyasu writes "NKSZ".
The main reason for putting the ICS to the left of the IBS is, er, laziness. I lazily took the sequence from Koyasu. (The information is all his, though its tabular presentation is mine.) Koyasu's presentation is more or less chronological, and we can see from the dates that the ICS predated at least two of the three varieties of the IBS.
Aha, that's a good question about the Rectus shutter. More precisely, Koyasu says: プロンタータイプの富士精密製レクタスシャッター (Purontaa taipu Fuji-Seimitsu-sei Rekutasu shattaa, i.e. "Prontor-type Rectus shutter made by Fuji Seimitsu"). Was/is Fuji Seimitsu part of Fuji Shashin Firumu? Offhand I don't know and I'm too sleepy to look. I'll look tomorrow -- unless you beat me to it, of course.
Yes, the tables aren't bad, are they. Ninety-nine percent of the credit goes to Mr Koyasu for the excellent content, but as for the presentation what I did was to create them in an OpenOffice spreadsheet and then mark them up by hand for Mediawiki's XHTML preprocessor. I'm not really accustomed to the latter so essentially stole the markup from another table I'd created earlier at WP. Then I looked at the source of a Camerapedia page to locate the CSS file, and searched through the CSS file for tabular style that looked as if it could do the job. -- Hoary 10:46, 30 May 2006 (EDT)
Strange. 富士精密 exists and makes nuts. But it tells us here that it only started in 1962 or 1970 (depending on what you mean by "started"). Aha: 富士精密電機 tells us here that it has been around since 1943 -- but no, its products seem all to be and to have been electrical. Meanwhile, Google's only hit for "富士精密 レクタス" is this. So I don't know, but I have no reason to think that this is Fuji Photo Film, and I'm about to reword accordingly. -- Hoary 02:44, 31 May 2006 (EDT)
