I'm attempting to clear up some questions about this model. First, the manual states the CT-1 has "electronically-controlled automatic exposure" —but I believe this is an error. I can find no photos of this camera which show an "auto" position on the shutter dial. Thus I am also doubtful the shutter is electronically controlled (which is what our article text says). Practically all Cosina models have a vertically-traveling shutter which is mechanical and not battery-dependent.

Finally: Numerous sources on the web say that the CT-1 was the basis for numerous SLRs built by Cosina under contract for other brands, such as the Nikon FM10, Ricoh KR-5 Super II, Olympus OM2000, numerous Vivitar SLRs, etc. However the original CT-1 used match-needle metering, and had a top shutter speed of 1/1000 sec. The Cosina CT1 Super is closer in features to to that swarm of "clone" models. The Canon T60 is also mentioned in that connection; and while it is certainly Cosina-manufactured, it is kind of the odd one out as it does have aperture-priority autoexposure. I'm leaving this note in case another wiki editor has some information which can help clarify any of this, but in any case plan to make some changes to the article soon. --Vox (talk) 08:03, 1 July 2015 (CDT)

So, confirming my suspicions, here's one owner who says the shutter is mechanical and the electronics just power the meter. --Vox (talk) 23:04, 2 July 2015 (CDT)

Thanks, I've made some changes now, to this article and CT1 Super. I am curious if anyone can point me to an original source for the claim that all the other SLR brands were really based on the CT-1 model specifically, rather than just Cosina SLRs generically.
I was also able to match up the Canon T60 to the Cosina C2 feature-for-feature. If there's an earlier Cosina model I'm not aware of which has the T60 features I'd appreciate knowing about it.--Vox (talk) 07:16, 5 July 2015 (CDT)
