I recently obtained a Baby Germa that is definitely a bellows camera with a 5cm/4.5 Helios Anastigmat lens. It is a self erecting style with a two-piece, glass, folding viewfinder. It has a body release. Speeds are T/B & 5-200. -- Added by Co840 on June 13, 2007.

That's interesting. From your description, I guess that your camera is quite different from the rigid model. I will contact you by private mail and send you the picture in Sugiyama so we can compare the two cameras. I would be happy to see pictures of your example too, if you have some. Some details I would like to know are the position of the Baby Germa marking identifying the camera, and the markings on the shutter plate. --Rebollo fr 05:35, 13 June 2007 (EDT)

Vocabulary

In the article, I initially wrote :It has a metal body, looking like it was made for a folding camera but the bellows part was obturated as an afterthought; today "obturated" was replaced by "solidified". I'm not sure if the current sentence conveys the correct meaning, and I don't how to express it: the main body was originally that of a bellows model, but a plate was probably welded at the front, filling in the front opening for the folding bed and bellows part. Please help with the vocabulary! --Rebollo fr 11:26, 30 June 2008 (EDT)
