The Sun B is a Japanese subminiature made in the late 1940s or early 1950s, ostensibly by "S.N.K. Camera Works", perhaps corresponding to Shin Nippon Kōgyō.

Description

The Sun B is little different from the average Hit-type camera. The body has a trapezoidal shape, as viewed from above — this feature is reminiscent of the Sun subminiature pseudo-TLR, but this is perhaps a coincidence.

The film is advanced by a knob on the left, as seen by the photographer. The back is hinged to the left, has a spring-loaded latch on the right and an uncovered red window inside a diamond-shaped frame at the middle.

The fixed-focus lens has no markings, and the self-cocking shutter gives instant exposures only. The name Sun B is engraved above the viewfinder, and repeated at the top of the shutter plate, whereas the company name S.N.K. Camera Works appears at the bottom, under the lens.
