Sumida was a Japanese camera maker in the early 1950s. Its full name was Sumida Optical Works (K.K. Sumida Kōki Seisakusho, 株式会社隅田光機製作所). Various Japanese websites tend to say that they were related to the prewar Proud company.

McKeown also lists the Mikado under Nishida, but a picture of the back shows a plate marked SUMIDA OPTICAL WORKS. The Asahi anthology similarly describes the Apollo II as from both Sumida and Nishida.
