The Speed Magny is a large and rather impractical accessory designed to use 2.25×3.25 inch Polaroid peel-apart film packs, or 4×5 film backs with certain Nikon SLR cameras (beginning with the Nikon F). It is attached as a replacement for the standard back of the camera; and so different versions were made to fit particular Nikon models. The device is quite heavy and awkward, and the relay optics sacrifice approximately 5 stops worth of image brightness, as well as giving a vignetted image when using most lenses under 85mm in focal length.

The Speed Magny was developed by the independent Mikami & Co., Ltd. but distributed by Nikon[1].
