The Cyber-shot DSC-W1 is a digital camera announced in 2004 by Sony.

It features a 5.1 megapixel CCD sensor, producing a maximum image resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. It has a Carl Zeiss zoom lens at an 35mm equivalent of 38 – 114 mm. An optical viewfinder can be used as well as a 123,000 pixel 2.5" LCD screen. This camera also has a basic video capability in MPEGVX, capable of capturing 640 x 480 at 16 fps. It uses Memory Stick / Memory Stick Pro as the storage media, with Sony usually includes a 32MB card. It uses Hi-Speed USB2 for connectivity. It is powered by 2x AA batteries. AA NiMh rechargeable batteries and charger are included in most markets. It is available in silver as well as black with silver accents.
