The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V3 is a Prosumer camera produced by Sony in 2004. It replaces the previous DSC-V1.

It features a 7.2 mega pixel sensor, on a 1/1.8 inch sensor. The lens is a 7-28mm (34-136 at 35mm) f2.8-4.0 (4x optical) zoom lens with a 8x digital zoom. The LCD screen is 2.5". Memory Stick / Memory Stick Pro for image storage.

Retains these features that are lost in current new models

  • Hologram AutoFocus
  • Night Framing mode
  • Night Shot mode

Hologram AF and Night Framing mode are good for low light focusing.

Night shot mode can be used for IR photography. (need IR filter with +4 ND filter)
