The Cyber-shot U DSC-U20 is a digital ultra compact camera announced by Sony in 2002.

It features a 2 megapixel 1/2.7" CCD sensor. This produces images of 1632x1224 pixels. It uses a fixed 5mm (33mm) f/2.8 lens. Focusing distance is from 4 inches to infinity but in preset mode it can be set to 0.2m, 0.5m, 1m, and infinity. The lens is protected by a sliding lens cover which can also act as the power. There is a 64,000 pixel, 1 inch colour LCD screen. There is a built-in flash with a range of 0.5m to 1.8m. Flash modes include auto, red eye reduction, flash on, and no flash. Memory Stick is used for media storage. Power is from 2xAAA batteries. NiMH rechargeable and a charger and are bundled. Computer connectivity is via USB.
