The Cyber-shot DSC-F3 is a digital camera release by Sony in November 1997. A black body version was released a month later.
It is the successor to the Sony DSC-F2 released earlier in the year. It still features a 350,000 pixel CCD sensor but the sensor size has changed to 1/4 inch. Photos are still captured in 640 x 480 resolution. The built-in memory has also been increased from 4MB to 8MB. This results in 105 photos in standard mode, 50 in fine and 200 photos in the lowest JPEG setting. The lens is still a 4.8mm f/2 but now at a 46mm equivalent instead of 35mm since the sensor size has changed. A basic movie mode is offered that can record 5 seconds of video.
