Shinchō Seiki (新潮精機, meaning Shinchō Precision Products)[1] was a Japanese camera maker, which released the Darling-16 subminiature camera in 1957. It is not known if it was related to the publisher Shinchō-sha (新潮社).[2]

Notes

  1. Japanese writing: Kokusan kamera no rekishi, p.389. The company name is incorrectly spelled "Shinkoh Seiki" in Sugiyama, item 5028, and "Shinco Seiki" in Pritchard, p.56.
  2. See the Japanese Wikipedia page on Shinchō-sha.
