Royal 35M

The Royal 35M was made by Royal Camera in Tokyo in 1957. It featured a Tomioka Tominor 45mm/f2.8-16 lens or a 45mm/f1.9 lens with a Copal-MXV (B, 1-1/500s) shutter. The lenses were non interchangable, and accepted 40.5mm filters. The 35M had a built-in non coupled selenium meter, scaled for ASA 12-800, which could be read from the top of the camera. The spring loaded flip-up meter cell door acted as a light screen for high light level readings. The body style was not unlike theNeoca 2S.

Variations

The Royal 35M Deluxe featured the 45mm/f1.9 Tominor lens. Two identical export versions were called Ogikon 35E, available with both lens types. The Wirgin 19E was the identical European-market export version with the 45mm/f1.9 lens.
