The Royal 35M was made by the Royal Camera Company in Tokyo in 1957. It featured a Tomioka Tominor 2.8/45mm lens (sometimes 1.9/45mm) set in a Copal B, 1-1/500s) shutter. It has a built-in selenium meter which can be read from the top of the camera. The body style is not unlike the Neoca 2s but it is a bit better equipped. The Royal 35M has chromed body. Lenses are non interchangeable.

Variations

The Royal 35M exists with F/2.8 and F/1.9 lenses. Selenium lightmeters sometimes have a door. An identical(?) export version is called Ogikon 35E. The Wirgin 19E is also strikingly similar to the Royal 35E. However, there seems to be a difference in the selenium meter used.
