The Ricoh GR Digital has been introduced by Ricoh in 2005. The GR Digital saw 2 revisions, the GR Digital II in 2007 and the GR Digital III in 2009.
GR Digital major specifications:

- CCD: 1/1.8-inch primary-color CCD. Effective 8.13 million pixels (total pixels: 8,300,000)
- GR Lens: Focal length 5.9 mm (equivalent to 28 mm for 135 film cameras), 6 glass elements in 5 groups.

- Shutter: 180, 120, 60, 30, 15, 8, 4, 2, 1 - 1/2,000 sec.
- Focus: Autofocus, manual focus, snap, infinity (AF supplemental light also available)
